The world is not perfect. Depression, Anxiety, and several other mental health diagnoses exist that may prevent one from moving forward day-to-day. During this past weekend, I had the honor of meeting KHAOS (Keep Healing and Overcoming Struggles) Khoach, Candice E. Cox, MSW, LCSW, who offers virtual and in-person therapy in St. Louis, MO, for over 10 years.
Candice is the founder and owner of A & A Inspirations, LLC, a business that provides psychotherapy services for children and families. A 2008 graduate of St. Louis University, her specialty is working with those who are living with and going through generational and environmental trauma. Clients learn how to utilize and enhance their strengths and not merely focus on problems as illnesses to be managed. Cox is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Ms. Cox strives to be a catalyst in the lives of others to propel them by helping people through tough times. Leading by example, she practices personal wellness and teaches others that mental wellness is DOPE. "Life happens, but it doesn't have to stop. It is my passion to help individuals figure out their life puzzles and see themselves as they are".
On Saturday, October 19, Candice Cox was recognized for her impact and contributions as a mentor by her community. Her warmth and receptive demeanor captivated me as I listened to her acceptance speech. Additionally, my attention was drawn to her excitement as she recognized and shared her win with her mother and team. "I couldn't do what I do without the support of those who are also in attendance tonight. They make my job easy".
